Holyday Thank Yous from Tedd, Beth, Rob and Koren Enterprises

Now is the season to know that everything you do is sacred. – Hafiz

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you for helping us defeat Barrett and the Quackbusters (now we’re going after them).

Thank you to the many doctors who came to a KST seminar – taking a leap of faith that I was telling the truth about how wonderful it is – and now have a changed life and practice.

Thank you to everyone who sent me jokes and humor over the year – even the dirty stuff (especially the dirty stuff).

Thanks for your feedback and questions, for your opinions on vaccination, chiropractic, the government, healing, politics, religion and my choice of foot wear at seminars.

Thanks for teaching me. You are my teachers whether we agree on things or not, I am grateful for all you’ve taught me.

Please forgive me if….
I didn’t thank you when I should have.
I didn’t recognize you at a seminar – I’ve always been bad with remembering faces.

Conflicts, fights, arguments often arise in human affairs – that they arise is not surprising, how we handle the conflict is more important than the conflict. If we’ve had a conflict and we didn’t clear the air please contact me. We need to talk.

May we continue to learn and grow in our heads and hearts. Happy holidays, happy year, happy days.

How healthy are you?

Short answer: A lot healthier than you think. Sometimes the best thing we can do for healing is to get out of our own way.

Vedantic philosophy teaches that infinity and eternity lie between your thoughts. In deep meditation and prayer, the spaces between our thoughts broaden and we can glimpse the potential we are always so close to -- the overpowering universal potential for healing, love, growth and perfection we strive for.

Upper cervical adjusting

Some photos in my collection: On the right is BJ Palmer demonstrating an upper cervical toggle recoil adjustment using a side posture table. On the left (in 1974 at Sherman College) are Lyle Sherman (center) former head of the BJ Palmer Chiropractic Research Clinic teaching technique at Sherman College while Thom Gelardi (left), Doug Gates (striped shirt) and Steven Duff look on.

It’s obvious

What do Ulysses S. Grant, James A. Garfield, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Orson Welles, Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Hefner and George W. Bush have in common? They are all descended from people who came over on the Mayflower.

“Don’t question the experts” Department

“The general public should not panic (about studies published, then refuted). We all need to start thinking more critically,” says researcher Dr. John Ioannidis, author of a study in the Journal of the American Medical Association that found a third of major medical studies were eventually contradicted.” Newsweek. Antibacterial soaps – waste of money

Antibacterial chemicals (triclosan) are in so many products: soap, toothpaste, deodorant, dog shampoo, cutting boards, clothing, toys, etc. but they’re no better than soap and water. Even an FDA panel found that out. But it gets worse. Triclosan mimics thyroid hormone and is turning up in fish, breast milk and wastewater. A recent study has shown it can disrupt thyroid function in frogs. Equivalent data on humans isn't yet available but research is being done – in every household with these dumb products. Antibacterial soaps can’t prevent colds or flu which are caused by viruses so why bother with them? http://www.chicagotribune.com/features/lifestyle/health/chi-611190297nov19,1,7985070.column?coll=chi-health-hed

Beth’s Healing Arts

Get the perfect gifts for your patients, your CA, your associates, your family. Not many people know it but my wife Beth has a background in Architecture and Design from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and she has spent years finding incredible, reasonably priced and beautiful gifts for chiropractors and others interested in unique, handmade crafts that have a healing theme.
This stuff is beautiful and inspiring. It’s just what people want (your office can use a little healing arts in the waiting room too).
Don’t take my word for it. Go to www.bethshealingarts.com or click on the photo above of the business card holder and be prepared to be impressed. Hey, do it now, the holidays are upon us and I bet you’re not finished with your shopping.

Back surgery or waiting? No difference in outcomes

About 300,000 Americans each year have spinal surgery for ruptured disks and sciatica – but is it worth it? Finally large scale studies were done asking whether it’s better to rush into back surgery for ruptured lumbar disks and sciatica or…just wait. The results found that surgery was no better than doing nothing. Patients in both the surgery and non-surgery groups improved substantially over a 2-year period.
This is really nothing new - other studies have demonstrated the same thing. People with ruptured disks in their lower backs and people with sciatica usually recover without surgery and (very important) there is no harm in waiting. No one in either study developed cauda equina syndrome that can cause nerve damage, weakened leg or bowel or bladder problems.
Many surgeons were against the studies because they said that they knew that the operations worked and it would be unethical for their patients to participate in the study.
The study mentioned that a percentage of those who had back surgery needed repeat operations within the year.

Quackbusters CRUSHED by California Supreme Court...

This article (below) appeared in Tim Bolen’s report. It may have legal implications for Barrett’s present appeal against Koren (in favor of Koren).
”I don't know how the "quackbusters" can even come out in public any more. Their constant humiliation in the US Court system has got to be incredibly embarrassing. I don't know how they can withstand the solid stream of laughter from the general public.
It's not just the losses in Court (and they are legion), it's how badly they lose, and the criticism they draw on themselves by the participants in the Court system. They just don't seem to learn.
On November 20th, 2006, the California Supreme Court voted unanimously to slap down the latest "quackbuster" attempt to use, and abuse, the US Court system to silence their critics. The case, originally known as Barrett v. Clark, then for the appeals process renamed Barrett v. Rosenthal, began over five years ago.” Read entire article at http://www.bolenreport.net

Ten polio shots and they still get polio

Sometimes I think there is no profession in greater denial than the medical profession. Not only is medicine the number one cause of death in the US, but childhood vaccinations are the single greatest cause of sickness. This letter appeared in an Indian newspaper. The underlining is mine. Such distortion and dishonesty is not confined to India but is rampant in the US as well.

To: The Editor, The Telegraph, India
Dear Sir,
That OPV (oral polio vaccine) can cause Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) has been a constant refrain by conscientious doctors, even reported in your own paper. Now that their fears have come true an effort is being made to twist the case by stating that adequate doses have not been given. If five doses are adequate then why does the same report state that AFP has occurred after 7 to 10 doses? It is well known that in many cases up to 25 doses have been administered by the time the children reached the age of two. The OPV has also caused AFP in polio-free States, ostensibly due to the use of live polio virus.
Now that the lid has been blown, data on the adverse reactions compiled over the years have mysteriously disappeared. It is high time vaccine dangers are seriously discussed. We already have over 40 Lakh autistic children in India. The number is growing at over 120% per year. It is being attributed to a genetic cause, though those making such claims know fully well that genetic epidemics are an impossibility. Genetic disorders show themselves in the womb and not after being vaccinated. It is strange that we repeatedly pump in a toxic sludge composed of live and genetically modified viruses, heavy metals, neurotoxins, carcinogens, immunosuppressants, antibiotics, animal products and contaminated serum into infants in the name of "immunisation" and then spend money on researching, identifying and managing the diseases they cause.
The entire vaccination process should immediately be suspended till the issue is debated publicly and sorted out. We cannot continue with this farce even as the number of vaccine-damaged children grows in leaps and bounds over the years. Jagannath Chatterjee

A great search engine for health questions and research

I received the following from Michael Horwin, editor of Cancerwire, the e-mail monthly cancer magazine that is worth its weight in gold, or electrons or well, you get the idea. Sign up for it and you won’t be disappointed. Your patients need this information. See it at www.cancerwire.com.
"Health Search Plus" allows people to conduct better and faster health searches on the web. It allows visitors to simultaneously search within Google, Yahoo, DMOZ, Images, Videos, Audio Recordings, News, Message Boards, Blogs, Groups, Books, Reference Materials, Scientific, and Government sites. It's a powerful tool that Cancer Monthly has been using to conduct its own research and now we have made it available to everyone. If you would like to mention it in your next newsletter that would be wonderful. Also, if you would like to have it free on your own website please feel free to upload it. It's available at www.healthsearchplus.com.” Michael Horwin

Whose Line Is It Anyway? Chiropractic song

My son Seth introduced me to this show and it’s a pleasure to watch. It’s hard to believe it’s all impromptu – they are so talented. Check out their funny “chiropractic song.”

Wow Adjustment
I got some real fast results w/KST. It's awesome! A patient who doesn't feel anything no matter what you do, responded w/about 10 consecutive “WOW”s in a row. – Chris Ambrosio, DC

Cerebral Palsy
A beautiful 2-year-old girl diagnosed with cerebral palsy and congenital hip dysplasia from birth has been to every kind of MD plus PT 3x/week with no positive results lasting more than a few hours. Her skeptical parents brought her in. I adjusted her KST. The next day the father had a grin from ear to ear. Last night was the first time in her life she was able to sit up on her own without assistance. That is not all; she laid herself down, rolled onto her stomach and crawled. He said his wife was in tears! She has been under my care now for only 2 weeks and she is able to walk with the assistance of a baby walker which her parents only dreamed would be possible. It is not a question whether you need Chiropractic, the question is which Chiropractor to attain your full health potential? KST should be at the top of your list! – Brian R. Menzies, DC

WooooHoooo Adjustment
My 4-year-old, who HATES to get adjusted (cries, whines, fights etc) let me adjust her with KST last night. She laughed and giggled and loved the whole thing. When I was done with her she turned around gave me the biggest hug I ever got from her, looked me in the eye and said, “Thank You!!!!” This from the one who would storm out of the room after I adjusted her the old fashion diversified way! When she came in the office today with Mom to say hello she asked me if I had the machine I used to adjust her with. I said “yes” and she yelled out “WoooooHooooo!!!!!”
– Dr. Jamie Higley

Hearing
New patient got her 1st KST Monday. Came for her next visit and stated that her ears that have been "clogged" for more than ten years opened up and she's been able to hear things she never knew were there. – Matt Allen, DC

Easy on the Doctor
Ever get the feeling that everything you've studied and practiced in your life has finally come together? I've been an Activator practitioner for the past 15 years. We've built up a sizable practice but at a cost to me physically (I have to apply several layers of tape to my fingers while adjusting with the Activator because of the callouses… and I've developed tendonitis in my elbows from the constant lifting of the legs of my patients).
Your teaching was excellent and your wife and staff were great. I'll highly recommend KST to my associates and friends in Chiropractic! We've used your brochures, posters, and other materials at our office for many years and, because they were so excellent in quality, I knew that your seminar would be as outstanding as these materials always are...and it was! – Sid Mouk, DC

Retracing
Patient immediately felt her entire left side of her face get "weird" feeling. I found out that she had been hit in the face with a baseball bat when she was young. Her lower thoracic pain disappeared…and I did not even adjust her thoracics!! Today she felt fine.
Another lady could not squat down without holding onto something and immediately post KST she squatted and was amazed! I really enjoyed the seminar and your sense of humor!
– Keith Braswell, DC

Adjusting Myself
The results are unbelievable! I've even adjusted myself. I'm still amazed at how it can totally clear things. – Elon Kaplan, DC

Dubious Doctor
I was dubious at first... I have had diversified, Grostic, DNFT, SOT, CBP, Sweat, Activator, Toftness, acupuncture, Applied Upper Cervical Specific and others. None of them ever produced results as the two KST adjustments I received at the seminar. You may have come across the Holy Grail of Chiropractic. – Richard Sinclair, DC

Fast
I am so excited about KST. It is fast and respects how the body needs to heal. – Dr. Judy Bhatti

What are you waiting for? Your patients and family (and you) need to be subluxation-free like never before. Register for our next KST seminars by calling 800-537-3001 or online at www.teddkorenseminars.com

Letters

Tedd, Thanks so much for sending out the flu info in your subscription Newsletter. The day I sent it to my patients I also sent it to a very dear friend of mine. Here's what she had to say....
Just so you know, Dave. I was going to get a flu shot and changed my mind because of your e-mail. My husband did the same thing. We were going to go to Walgreens that very afternoon....ooo...spooky.
Thank you for articulating for me what needed to be said. Dr. Tedd, you helped to save 2 more lives! Dr. Dave Schaller
